I hate wearing a mask, but I do it for the safety of my family, friends, and community. Wearing a mask is important to keep the spread of the coronavirus at bay, but it’s constraining. All of a sudden, everyone’s smiles are hidden. When I’m at the grocery store, I feel like the cashier can’t hear me say “thank you” through my mask. Sometimes I even feel like part of my identity has been taken away! That’s why I wanted to share tips on how to make your eyes look more expressive with the help of makeup. We may have our smiles covered up, but as women, our eyes can say so much more! Read on to learn how to make your eyes stand out while wearing a mask.
Less is more: When it comes to your overall face, less is more. Keep the focus on your eyes by using a light foundation or tinted moisturizer. I use blush around the temples to show some color on my face. I may not be able to show off my favorite lipstick, but I’m still going to have a touch of color! If you really want to glam out your skin, use a liquid matte foundation. We’re all about doing what makes your feel your best at Face The Beauty®.
Brows: Keep your brows groomed! I like to keep it simple with my brows. I just brush them up with a little gel to keep them in place. Do whatever works for you and your makeup routine!
Eyes- Do your eyes the way that you like, but if you want them to really stand out, work on that sharp cat eye! Since the rest of your face is covered, you want your eyes to be as expressive as possible. A little highlighter in the inner corner never hurt anybody!
